BWAHAHAHAHAHA

Just so you know, GirlsDrawinGirls is having an art opening this coming Friday at the TAG gallery in lovely Borebank.

But that's not the funny part.

TAG made a nice post about the show on their blog, and some of the comments both amaze me and make me wonder just how uptight our society is getting when people take offense to the drawing for the poster. Since when do only prepubescent boys draw cute nude women?!

The outrage that is that illustration makes the tragedy in Darfur pale in comparison.

See... it's cute and all whenever you ladies try your hand at drawing sexy females like the real menfolk, but you just end up causing a big ruckus.

Why can't girls stick to drawing simple flowers like Georgia O'Keeffe, or fat, happy babies like Mary Cassatt? Now those are ladies that knew a woman's place in the art world!*

Or if you feel you must attempt the human form (dream large, girls!), keep to big hunky Fabio-esque men (you know, like the ones on your all romance novel covers).

And if this has your pretty little head all a spin, don't worry, your right-thinking sisters will gladly let you know what's off-limits for the weaker sex.

And remember, if you still feel inspired to sketch a sexy pinup... there's always a sandwitch that needs to be made!

*my sincerest apologies to Georgia and Mary

LOL Troy! Personally, I think the poster "girl" is cute! I love the pinup drawings, too. They're fantastic.

I read the comments on the blog and I was amazed. Maybe all these people are from my home town. You know, the ones who are so uptight that their farts come out as whistles?

Ooops, gotta go. Troy needs me to make him a sandwich. ;-)
